Is the 964 Tiptronic Transmission ok for Track Days? |

I am considering buying a used 1990 964 with the 4 sp. tiptronic transmission, and would like to take it to track events hosted at the Streets of Willlow, Buttonwillow etc.
Will this type of transmission over-heat with track use?
Would buy a 5 sp. since heel and toe shifting is half the fun!
Not sure about the tip-- is the shifting done electronically or hydraulically?
