How do I replace a headlight bulb on a 1995 Avalon ? |

I can remove the plug from the back of the low beam bulb, but I cannot
figure out how the bulb is removed. Can the individual bulbs be replaced or
must the entire assembly be replaced? Any assistance or reference would
help. Thanks.

Individual bulbs can be replaced. There is a locking ring on the back of |
the headlight assembly. Twist the ring counter-clockwise and pull the bulb
holder back. Before you attempt this, go to your local auto parts store and
buy the replacement bulb. Looking at the replacement bulb will give you an
idea of how it is held in the bulb holder but IIRC, it just pulls straight
out. Make sure you don't touch the replacement bulb with your bare hands as
oil from your hand shortens the life of the bulb.

I believe your car use 9006 bulb. You should be able to change the
bulb, not the whole assembly. The bulb come out by twisting it, then
pull it out. If you are having a problem, maybe never done this before
? Just take the car to local automotive store (Autozone, Walmart etc).
They should be able to help you. I know local store here would help
you change the bulb for free if you buy one from them.
