Hi,
Is it a simple fuse or something to disable the driving lights? Or is
reprogramming necessary?

No simple way, but it can be done fairly easy. You need to remove the
alt wire inout to the DRL ECU |

Gord ... on this day, you filled yourself with turkey entrails instead of
breast meat. Keep your mouth closed.
Better yet, YOU stay off the road so there is one less vision deficient
motorist on the streets of wherever you are.

'91 MR2 radiator = Corolla? Celica? |

Hi all!
Need an MR2 radiator for 1991 coupe (non-turbo).
Which year Corolla or Celica radiators will fit?
Thank you in advance.

Who died and appointed you God?...answer that to my complete
satisfaction and I'll consider your otherwise overbearing and
ignorant order. Until that time shove it as far as possible up
your nether region. Dig?

I see. So you don't believe in safety precautions? If you had any
accountability then you'd not be advising possibly inexperienced
drivers how to defeat safety features.
Have you no feelings of responsibility for people who may not
have your driving experience?
So some young squirt with a young wife and two kids at home sees
your irresponsible remark trashing DRL's and thinks "Hey, here's
Phillip, a very experienced long haul trucker with billions of
miles behind him who says DRL's are NFG so I'll kill mine".
To what end?...where's the gain?...why do it?
I don't find you an admirable person mister.

Gord, your ass sucks buttermilk through a pink straw.

IF only you could. Seems DRLs on OTHER people's cars help you avoid hitting
them. But there's ample evidence that Gord drinks mightily from the Nanny
State Kool-Aid pitcher.
| Quote: | So you don't believe in safety precautions?
|
Gord, you cannot validate your opinion by making DRLs an all-or-nothing
"safety precaution." In fact, once again you have just invalidated your
opinion.
| Quote: | If you had any
accountability then you'd not be advising possibly inexperienced

You do not know the OP's "experience" level nor is your opinion equally
applicable for all circumstances.

"Feelings" Here Gord goes again. "Feelings" are what govern Gord.
Neither you nor I have ANY responsibility for another's experience or
decisions on the road.

I've seen this type of flame before. On one hand, why respond to a query |
that addresses a procedure you don't believe in? Also it is better to not
get personal, rather state your objections and opinions objectively. Why
get bitchy?
DRLs are not yet universally required-yet. I think the driver should retain
control of all the vehicle's lighting with a switch. There are times when
lighting for 3rd party visibility is unnecessary and desensitizing. Front
turn signals have to compete with headlights for attention. Driving at
night without switching to night mode can lead to driving without tail
lights if the light sensor fails. Charlie, 05 Corolla S |

Because of the reasons that I stated above, to repeat, so that
there'll be at least 'some' refuting of the mad rush to defeat
DRL's. I quite honestly cannot see why some people get their
undies in such a snarl about this subject. What harm do they do?
Nobody's yet given me a sensible reason to defeat this safety
feature. When someone trashes seat belts I try to point out to
them that they DO save lives, same for air bags, same for dual
brake systems, same for front disc brakes, turn signals, DRL's,
automatic door locks, safety glass, side door beams, emerg
flashers, structural protection for the fuel tank.
So why do some people think that they know more than the
automotive engineers, whose whole life's work is tied up in
making automobiles safer?
I swear that if someone can point out to me why we should attempt
to make cars LESS safe, and can convince me that it's BETTER for
us on the whole then I'll humbly apologize and beg for
forgiveness.
I won't be holding my breath in anticipation.
Also it is better to not
