That's enough time on the computer, junior. Now it's time to get off of
mommy's computer and put your Dr. Dentons on. There's a good boy

more of them are driving Ford F150's than Chevy ;)

My next door neighbor got rid of his F150 because of paint failure.
Ford failed on a second attempt to fix the problem. He's driving a
Honda now and seems happy.
I'm told the F150 had a major frame redesign in the last year or two.
Apparently something was beefed up.

I did not know Honda made a pickup truck. Did that weak frame
make the paint fall off from vibration?

There was a big ring F-150 thieves in Arizona last year. One of the girls I |
worked with, and many others lost theirs in one or two days! There must be
*something* about those things for such a massive amount of thefts in so
short a period.
I've always said that if I wanted a big, gas-guzzling, showy vehicle, I'd go
domestic; the Japanese haven't mastered excessive vehicles yet.

They don't.
He did not replace the F150 with another PU. I don't know what the
problem was with the paint, but he was not happy so he's into Honda CRV
and now apparently happy......I'm not trying to read into anything on
this, only what I've been told. Regards to the frame, there was a frame
change made by Ford for the F-150. How extensive it was I don't know,
but nine times seems like a lot:
"Even tougher - F-150's fully boxed frame is approximately nine times
stiffer torsionally than its predecessor, providing the foundation for
improved durability, driving dynamics, and ride refinement and
quietness. With a maximum tow rating of 9,500 pounds and maximum payload
capacity of 2,900 pounds, the new F-150 is the most capable full-size
pickup under 8,500 pounds."
It sounds like a good improvement.
I was considering a full sized Ford van before I settled on the Sienna.
The Ford E vans would have been my choice for that class. I instead
went again with a mini and in that class my choice was Toyota. I am
happy with my selection.
