As the first snows of autumn hit the English midlands this evening my '95
E34 525i failed to clear the miisting from the windows.

Engine at optimum temp. Air aimed at full de-mist. I could barely feel the
air move!

When switched to blow in through the centre dash vent there was hardly any
power. I've felt more powerful butterfly farts.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Could be a problem with the heater vent control, or;
What did you have the interior temperature set to? The E34's hvac
control
is set up to bypass the fan's outlet when the interior temperature is
what
is set. You either have to a) raise the temperature setting to max, or
b)
turn on the a/c.

Have a look here!

Assuming you van hear the fan working - and changing speed with the
control - most likely thing is a blocked microfilter.
