It has done 112K miles and although the service history is complete
there is no mention of the front bushes being replaced. It is a 1998
motor and it is not steering as well as it should, in fact it is
decidedly wooly. What is a reasonable price to pay to have one or both
bushes replaced in the UK please folks.

The usual first symptom is wheel wobble at speed or when braking. But I
thought you'd had that fixed?

I don't know the price, but I confirm that suspensions are definitely a weak
point on those heavy BMWs and require expensive maintenance.

I took it back because of brake judder and suggested it was also a
problem with the suspension bushes. The garage put new discs on it and
that cured the judder completely but the car still wanders badly Dave
and all I can think of is having the suspension bushes replaced. How
much do you reckon it would cost me. The car is still under warranty
but I don't mind paying something just to get it fixed. I now know
that it hasn't got rack and pinion steering but another bloke with the
same car drove mine and said it is hopeless compared with his and
after driving his I realised mine is not up to scratch so now when I
take it back and offer to pay something towards fixing it I want to
know how much it would have cost without the warranty.
