Super Bowl I MVP Bart Starr was awarded a new Corvette. He auctioned
the car off and used the money to start
a boys school, (Rawhide).
Anyone know what happened to that
Car....?

Maybe I should have offered a reward.
OK if someone knows what happened
to this car I will send that person an
original 1980 GranPrix owners manual.
The wife totaled it at three months old.
The car not the manual.

The car not the manual
The car not the wife.......
Did I mention the 54 Chev she totalled?
The 1976 GrandPrix?
The less than 1000 mile 1965 GTO?
Before I met her she drove a 1946 J.I.
Case tractor. Fresh off the farm in
Pembine Wis...
She never did get used to anything
over 48 HP.
Also the taillight on my 1958 Edsel.

Not that I ever forgave her for over reving
my 1955 stick Thunderbird, breaking off
one of the cooling fan blades, which went
up making a hole in the hood.
The then unbalanced fan tore away from
the water pump went down and hit the
harmonic balancer, snapping it off and
taking three inches of the crankshaft with
it......Sigh........The cost of rebuilding a
1955 292 engine was not cheap......

Dude, I'd trade her in on a cheaper model. (The wife, not the car)

Trivia...Most likely the crankshaft breakage was due to the over
revving, not the fan impact.

Years ago... I helped fix a 1963 Ford Galaxy that suffered similar
over speed, one fan blade went up thru hood, second went into battery,
third & fourth went into radiator. Luckily engine was OK with new
water pump.

I would still like to know what happened
to Bart Starrs MVP Superbowl awarded
Corvette. After the Pack defeated Oakland
in SB II and he was awarded the car, he
auctioned it off and used the proceeds to
start a boys school in Wisc. Where is the
car now????
