This is an 89 Caprice wagon with 307 eng. There's a steel tube that
goes to the Cat.... converter. The tube is rusted off the converter.
It's the tube, not the converter that is bad. It's just the very end
of it that is bad. Is there a trick to reconnect this? I dont think
a rubber hose would hold up with the heat. I suppose I could replace
the pipe, but if I can just patch it, thats fine, and I'm broke this
month anyhow. Any ideas???

By the way, what is that tube for? Does it even matter if it's
connected? The car runs pretty good with the tube disconnected. So
maybe it's not important???? I just changed trans fluid and noticed
it was disconnected.

Thanks for all help
