I own a Toyota Supra 87, the other night the car alarm went off for a
while, next day I found out that the right head light wasn't as bright
as the left one, so I went to the store and bought a new headlight
thinking that the headlight was about to die. just to realize that the
new one was still the same as the old one.

Anyone knows what might be wrong with my car.

Thank you.

Another thing: almost a year ago, the fog light from the same side
died, changed the bulb but with no succes. I still haven't be able to
fis the fog light.

thanks

The next time your car alarm goes off, let's hope you freekin' car catches
fire and burns to the ground. Bastard public annoyance those alarms!

Has ANYONE EVER seen a car thief run from honking car alarm?

I think this car's had it and you ought to sell it to me for, oh $100...

Is it a Sportroof, by any chance?

(Sorry, can't help you with the problem, unless the alarm wore the battery
down so far it's just doing funky things)

I seldom see the sun rise at dawn. That doesn't mean that it doesn't rise.

Yes. Twice on my old car- well ok I didnt see it but my neighbour saw them
run from my car when the alarm went off. Maybe UK criminals are more easily
scared lol. Its only because people ignore them and assume they have gone
off accidentally that they are ineffective.

Mine also rings my mobile now so i get to run to my car and get stabbed
trying to wrestle them off it lol.

I have an alarm in the Hachiroku that pages me when it's being f@cked
with. Someone suggested the same scenario to me...that I get there just in
time to get shot...

Yes, it sounds like you have a ground problem, the usual reason for dim
lights. You'll need a meter to decide if your car switches +12V or Gnd to
run the lights. Assuming its ground, run temp wire from the headlamp common
pin to ground and see if the lights get brighter. Make sure you don't end up
grounding a +12V line, or you'll fry your harness.

For an 87, you probably have some poor connections. Look for places where
the harness is grounded to the chassis. Take the bolts out and clean the
connection, or replace damaged connectors.

Diagnose the fog light issue the same way. Expect to have to cut some wires
and run new ones for an 18 year old car.

No, it is not likely to be the relay.

As I mentioned before, check for a loose or corroded ground wire or loose
connection.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, but if the Car Alarm makes the headlamps
flash, then my money is on the alarm controller being screwed up.

No, but I've seen somebody driving a car the the car alarm was going off in.
Lights flashing, horn honking, and somebody that looked like a low life
driving. All he needes was a bumper sticker that read, DRIVE IT LIKE YOU
STOLE IT, and the picture would be complete ...

Now, if you guys would loosen your gun laws a bit, then your car could call
your cell, and you could show up properly equipped.

Jeff ... nobody here in America is scared off by a honking alarm. The units
that people self install are always set too sensitive. Compound this with
the same stupid people forgetting to disable the damned things before they
get into their cars and then ... get so rattled that they can't get the
thing disarmed for at least a minute! MANY cities here have ordinances
against car alarms that keep going off! The fine in my town is $125 or your
car towed away ... honking and blinking. Blinking headlamps and an
ignition or starter disabler is QUITE sufficient.
