I found nice RAV 4, 3-door 1.8 what to check before buying ?

Oh, just the usual stuff.
How many miles? Was the timing belt changed? Do the bearings squeak?
Steering tight? How often was the oil changed? Auto or manual? Tranny
fluid changed? How are the knuckles on the CV joints? Battery good? Rust?
Bear in mind the underlying 'vehicle' is a Celica GT AWD (or, that was the
basis for the vehicle in 1998.)
As usual, you're looking for indications of excessive wear and tear, rust,
parts about to let go, etc. What has already been replaced? |

I was worry that there're some characteristic faults, but it seems
the quality is pretty good, just regular checking needed
PS Someone asked about some details:
ok - I live in Poland - Europe :) so the units are different but I converted
them:
Color : "Flint Mica"
Mileage: ~37300 miles (60000 km)
Manual gearbox
Price: about $17,500 ( average sale in Poland is $500 /month) |
