Where to get a vacuum solenoid |

Anyone have any idea where to get a vacuum solenoid? I need one that
will turn the vacuum on and off using a 12V source. What I want to
do, is be able to use a switch on my dashboard that turns on and off
the positive of a 12v source from the battery. The solenoid will turn
on the vacuum when the switch is turned on, and turn it off when the
switch is off. The purpose is for the vacuum solenoid on my
carburetor. This is an 89 Caprice with the 307 Olds engine. It's
computerized and for some reason the pulloff on the choke does not
open the choke until the engine is completely hot. So, every time I
go somewhere I get a mile or two up the road and the engine floods.
Then I have to get out of the car and jam something in the choke. The
pulloff is fine, but the computer dont send the vacuum soon enough. I
had my mechanic look at it and he hooked the choke directly to the
main vacuum source. Now, it starts hard because there is no choke
once the engine starts. He said to rig up something like this,
because otherwise I would end up spending hundreds of dollars to
analyze everything on the computer.
Is there something I can get at a junk yard, parts store, or some
other source?
The vacuum hose is 3/16 ID

If he were a real mechanic:
He'd know the choke pull off is adjustable, and would set it to
specification.

Early 90's vehicles, e.g. 92 Ford Ranger use vacuum solenoid for
canister purge circuit. Can be easily purchased at local parts store
or auto wrecker. runs on 12V.
