Hi! I hope somebody can help me. My husband's Ford Escort, I think it's a 93 or 94 5 speed, is having some issues. He says he was driving along just fine when he came to a light. He put it in First gear and it began to stutter and ended up stalling. He restarted it and put it in Neutral and had to keep his foot on the gas to keep the engine from stalling again. He had to do this the entire way home. It has been sitting for a while now because we just don't have the funds to take it to a shop. He starts it every now and then and it still does the same thing. Sometimes it has smoke come out of the tail pipe, but I was told that can be from sitting for so long. Sometimes the battery is dead too. (It's a brand new battey.) So we have to charge it. I'm sure that's from sitting too, but I'm not sure. He has been driving my car for the past few months. I am tired of being a prisnor in my own home! I want to fix his car so I can have my freedom back! If anybody has any insight, it would be much appreciated!
