Problem w/ keyfob 2000 Chevy truck

I thought that maybe the battery was bad so I bought a new one..replaced
the old one and still no go..so I took the backup keyfob and the only
thing that works is the 'panic' button on the keyfob (the red button).
Dont know if its the truck's alarm or the keyfob.

I have read that at times when this happens, the remote needs to be
're-synced' to the car. Try holding the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together for
several seconds until the horn chirps. Then see if the remote works.
