The Engine Control Unit will use one or more temperature sensors and chose
fuel mix according to the measured temperature. I'm not sure what the ECU
will do if it has determined that the sensor is broken.

it's a possibility one or more sensor to be broken or decalibrated, but be sure that electrical system is ok.
