audifans.com status? |

I just noticed that the site returns a "not found" error. Is it just
me, or is the site down?

Yes, Audifans(.com - who the heck is at .net?) is down - they were doing
some maintenance a while ago and it was down for a short time - they posted
that further work needed to be done and I guess that's what brought it down
yesterday. It'll be up again soon I'm sure.
Cheers!

Look like it was h4x0r3d
From: Audifans.net All, the site was hacked last night (again)- by using
brute force on passwords. The result is the following: 1. ALL USERS need to
change their passwords ASAP- preferable on next login. 2. The SHOP is now
taken offline. As we see this, this will be PERMANENT- a replacement system
will be in place on the official Audi Owners Club Interactive site- roll out
due early 2006. 3. If any of you have emails from info@audiclub.co.uk, or
the like, PLEASE IGNORE/ delete. 4. Likewise if any of you have emails
claiming to link through to EBAY- also delete. The hackers (in a VERY short
space of time) managed to set up a spoof ebay phishing site. This has now
been removed, with thanks from our host, and the appropriate action taken.
If any of you have any questions, please email me directly. If you have
problems logging in, please go to the website help forum- you do NOT need to
be logged in to post in that forum. You are sent this email as part of the
site's TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Apologies for the inconvenience. Regards Andy

Audifans.com is back up as well - from Brett (Admin):
Yep, we're back. A major software-related crash caused one of the longest
outages we've ever had. The archives, list configurations and so on are all
safe; we lost no data, but configuring the system is still in progress.
Don't be surprised if random bits don't work for a day or so.
Two "Audifans" sites down at the same time - coincidence?
Cheers!
