FS: Toyota 16404 Full Logic Dolby Cassette deck with AM/FM stereo
with
digital tuning, Dolby NR and memory function. Is in excellent
condition with
little or no use that I know of. Does not include wiring harness or
manual. Original owner replaced it with a CD deck when car was bought
new. $15 obo plus shipping.

Toyota actually uses a lot of suppliers for their radios other than
just Matsushita (the Panasonic as you call it) and Clarion. They have
Fujitsu Ten, JBL, and (unfortunately) Delco.

Hi, I think the deck came from a 91' Camry. I don't recall seeing a
"N" like you described so it must be a Clarion. It seems to be of
very high quality though and looks brand new.

Oh, Yeah! I forgot about Fujitsu Ten! The emblem is similar to the
Matsushita emblem except it says Ten on it. That's what I'm looking for, a
Ten unit.

Here's a little story for ya. I was married to an Asian girl, Chinese but
born in Laos. We were looking for a VCR back in the early 80's. Her sister
had a Mitsubishi. When we went looking, she had to have a Mitsu to keep up
with her sister. I came upon a Panasonic that had *ALL* the features *I*
was looking for. She sat and sulked all the way home. When we got home I
took her prized National rice cooker box out of the closet, and pointed to
the logo on it. Then I pointed to the logo on the Panasonic box. Gee, they
both looked the same!

After that, there was no problem with buying anything made by Matsushita.

LOL!!!

I liked that one!!!

I have a Fujitsu Ten 16404 I'd like to get out of the way. It's missing the
little recessed knobs for bass and treble. These pop out of the body, so
they still work and don't look bad, though it would be dead simple to make
new ones from plastic rod.
Anyway, $10 plus postage gets it.
