I am looking to buy an oil filter from one of these online Toyota parts
distributors, but I have come across a bit of a problem.

It seems a couple have different parts numbers for the filter for my 1996
Avalon's 1MZFE V6 engine. Was something like "90915-YZZA1" and another was the
same way, except the last two characters were "D1." They both say they fit the
1MZFE engine, but I'm not too certain. I don't want to order the wrong one
that doesn't fit, and find out in the middle of an oil change...

My question is, whats the correct Toyota OEM oil filter part number for the
Avalon 1MZFE? And BTW, what's the number for the TRD oil filter for the same
car/engine?

Thanks.

I believe 90915-YZZD1 P/N supercedes 90915-YZZA1 and 90915-YZZB1, at least
it did for our 97 Avalon. The correct size is F08. Sorry, can't help with
the TRD oil filter P/N.

So any of the ones you listed (A1, B1, D1) are okay, then?

You're welcome!

I just happened to see the part number morph over the years - same part for
Avalon & Previa.
