I have acquired another Grand Voyager to replace the one I gave back.
After spending a little time on it, I have noticed it has been in a
collision, though from what I see, not a bad one (I was wondering why the
paint was not peeling off of this one!)

Anyway, the pass side headlight (the original) was dull and yellowed and
the driver's side like new (leading to my discovery of the collision...)
I tired claening up the yellowing and found myself scraping off a coating!
It seems the headlights are made of plastic with some sort of 'optical'
coating! Well, I scraped off all the coating and buffed it up, and it came
back fairly clear (the other van had this problem on BOTH headlights, but
the sandblasting from driving means they never quite come back fully).

So, does anybody have an idea what I can use to recoat the headlight to
bring back some sort of optical quality? In the dodge forum, a poster said
Dodge says 'Replace the headlight'.
I *do* have a friend who has three he's been using for parts; said I can
take anything I want. Maybe time for a field trip...

I don't know what type of coating is on the headlight cover but you might
try some plastic polish, available for plastic windows at boat supply
places.

It's called "optical epoxy".

An example here:

Might want to have a spare A604 transaxle on hand!

Or Three...

And there is certainly PLENTY of experience out there when it comes to
changing one!
