Need help with a car in 1938 |
|
|
I am looking for a late 1930's, modest car. It is for a film production and the story is set in Studio City, CA 1938. What cars were standard on the road in 1938? After the depression, what was the kind of car that developed into a sort of consumer affordable car? What cars were popular? How long did an average car last, how long did a family own one car? What would an older couple be driving?
Pretty much any information about a car in 1938.
Any suggestions, opinions, and expertise is greatly appreciated
Thanks
J. Michelle

My choice would be, older couple, no kids, a 1934 Ford 2-door. Black.
Younger couple with kids, 1934 4-door.
Salesman 1934 Coupe. Young, gay blade,
a 1934 Roadster. Gay meant something different in 34......

And if that older couple, no kids, were both of the same gender, that 34
Ford 2 door would be pink not black.
