Need info Kellison fiberglass bodies |
|
|
Dear Good People,
Kellison, Inc. of Lincoln, CA made fiberglass bodies in the 60's and
one was the J series Panther.
I am looking for any information about the company, assembly diagrams,
company personnel,
pictures, really anything relating to the company and cars.
Any information no mater how trivial will be much appreciated.
Thanks, God Bless, Jim Fox

I remember seeing Kellison bodied cars
in the 50s at Elkhart Lake Wis (RoadAmerica) race track. They were
mounted on everything from Corvettes to Crosleys.
Here's a link for the people in the group that have never seen
one....Notice how the Kellison bodies look very much like later
Corvettes.........

After I wrote that little blurb. I (1960,s) remembered that a buddy of
mine in Milwaukee had a 55 T-Bird with a Hemi engine. Ran it into a
truck (drag racing at the lake frontage road)....
Body was shot so he ordered a Kellison body to put on the Bird
frame...It was pretty cheap, but it came with _nothing_ and boy I mean
nothing.
It had a list of parts to make the body usable. Every part came from a
different car. You had better own a boneyard to put the thing
together...The only part that I remember was the windshield was the rear
window of a 52 Studebaker.
The body was all one piece...
