E34 engine upgrade. |
|
|
525. '90.
Sounds mad but chassis and extras are worth keeping but engine is shot. Any
ideas if m5 engine or 24v sport version would fit? Car is a 525se, '90, E34.
Cheers,
Sal.

All sort sof larger engines were available in the model. The trick will
be to get the engine ECU from whatever donor car you find.

I'm sure any of those engines would fit, and somewhere, someone's done it. The
key is to contact them and get the scoop. Of course, engines originally offered
with that body style would be easier.

Thanks all, am off to see if Fabdirect can help with engine. Then bribe
brother into fitting it!
Cheers.

If you've got the space, I'd get the entire donor car. There always seem
to be some expensive hard to source parts needed if you don't. Helps with
loom layouts etc as well.
