I have a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder. Remote door unlocker stopped working. Opened door and alarm went off. Any ideas?

The lock mechanism in the door is probably getting sticky and not
unlocking all the way. Try unlocking with the remote and then by hand.
If it still has some travel by hand, it's probably sticking.
