Oh, that's right and the thought is that on LPG the ISV might be functioning
just opposite from gas due to the location of the LPG infection.

Hi!
Ther is only two different keys for the A4.
One with mini light inside, and another one with remote central locking
system. so you wont be able to open your car by pressing the mini light
button... you should have wondered why there is a so small amount of
electronic inside.

Re: Does Anyone Know About These Aftermarket Cold Air Intake |
|
|
They usually don't do a whole lot of damage, however the oil from the K&N
air filters tends to get all over the element in the Mass Air Flow Sensor.
Then you got problems. I tried a k/n filtercharger on my truck and the
throttle response was much better and there was a slight increase in low end
torque but not much to write home about. Be careful with chips. They can
cause more harm than good, and often do. And they void your warranty,
unless your in good with the guys at your dealership.
Good Luck

And am I right to assume that there is no vacuum leak, since when I
disconnect electrical connection to ISV, when I stop, rpm does not drop
low to ~600 rpm and then up to ~900 and then to normal 750 as it does
with ISV connected.

Mercedes Benz isn't what it used to be but the cars are still solid. In fact,
IMHO, MB is the only company who's cars interior quality can match or best the
Audi models. We test drove the ML-series SUV twice, once in late 2000 before my
mother got her RX300 and again a few weeks ago before she got her new Touraeg.
The exterior styling leaves a *lot* to be desired but the interior is extremely
nice and well put togethor.

When it comes to buying a car, I would tend to steer clear of examples
that have been chipped and mucked about with in this fashion, even if
I were inclined to actually do it myself. It just seems to spell
trouble. It also implies that the car has generally been driven hard
too. My point is, I wonder if to list all the extras like this
actually reduces the amount of interest and therefore the value.
Perhaps taking the car back to stock as much as possible might make it
seem more appealing to more people.

I test drove a 3 with my brother, nice little car. For around $23k you can get
leather seats, navigation with premium sound, the bigger engine, etc...it's a
hell of a deal. I'd probably think about one to replace my GTI if I wasn't dead
set on waiting another year to year and 1/2 for either an MKV S3 or a BMW
1-series.

You are right! Just got my Haynes. Not much to help me solve my problem.
There is no information where is located ISV Control Unit for my car. I
wanted to test it according to:
http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/trouble_shooting/injector.html#mixture
but when I removed driver side parcel shelf I could not find it. There
were only few relay's and connectors.
Anyone knows location of ISV Control Unit on 5-cyl. 1989 Audi 100?

Bentley says that it should be in the aux relay panel (by drivers left knee
under dash on left hand drive cars). It looks like a relay but is double the
width of a normal relay. Bottom row of relays.

I looked there, only 4-5 wire connectors and 2-3 relays, none of them
wider than normal. I will look again soon (to cold now).
Or is it different on European models? Anyone from Europe?

Yvan,
You might want to look close to the relays you have found, in my 1987 5ktq
there are a set of relays accessable by a cover, but there are also some
relays mounted beside them.
Cheers!

That is where you should find it.
Like I mentioned before, that is where it should be. I remember someone
commenting on the Audiworld form (T44 / V8) that some years controlled the ISV
from the ECU but I am not sure if that is correct and what years it would
involve. You may want to ask the question there as well.
