'87 325is (US) Passenger-Side Wiper Quit |

So the wife comes home last night with just the driver-side wiper
working. I figure the rod has come loose beneath it. Sort of common
enough.
I go to look, and there's no panel to gain access beneath that wiper.
There are two vent-like areas, one covering the driver's wiper, but the
passenger wiper is covered and I can't find an access point.
Is there one? Or is this one of those things only a BMW place can fix,
once you take out a second mortgage? :-)
Also, could this be some other problem entirely?

There should be a large access plate that stretches across the width of the
firewall, under the hood. It's held by a bunch of small screws. |

Thanks for the reply, Bob.
I found it. Looks like a few things need to be disconnected or just
moved out of the way. I'll dive into it tomorrow.

Quick update: Got it. Things had just come loose. Some quick tightening
all around, we're back in bidness. ;-) |
