I am not making light of the difficulties faced by an occupying army in

foot, as it undoubtedly often is, is it acceptable that US soldiers are
executed in similar circumstances? Of course not.

It is the glorifying and celebration of such behaviour by Scott, MDT and
other less literate and semi-intelligent 'contributors' [than they] that is
disgusting and abhorrent.

HUW, I'll shed a tear for them tonight. (NOT)

As you can see, I'm pretty tore up over the scum assuming desert
temperature.

But guess what. He's President. You're not.

Absolutely brilliant Rich. One would have to search the internet for
years to find such an original and thought provoking comment.

Kinda like your CIC comment? Yeah, that original. IF GWB is so bad, how
come Kerry was unable to beat him? HHHHHHhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

Bush didn't "beat" Kerry. Kerry made a point to lose to Bush. ;-) This
is my way of saying that the Big Spenders are in control and little short of
a civil revolt at the ballot box is going to put the brakes on illegal
immigration.

diz maybe you ought to move to france or iraq

It's you right-wingers who want to go to Iraq! 8)

As for France, I've been there once, and I liked it a lot. It's a
more laid-back, less money-grubbing culture, it seems, than our own.

I kind of like that idea myself Diz and I remember back in the fifties
when it was more laid back in a small town where I grew up not so much
of the crap going on today so I know what you say. I wish I could go
back but....

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.26

Not too far from the middle, especially considering my contempt for
the evils of the elite wealthy businessman...

Just remember it is those wealthy businessman that are making if
possible for you to get and education.

How did they do that?

Obviously, there's no extricating the evil businessman from the
American economy, but, if he did "help" me in any way, it was only so
he could use/abuse me later.

Yeah, I got a good job, I suppose. I'm lucky to still be working in
the dying high-technology manufacturing sector, while the evil
businessman strives to move all manufacturing off-shore, where he can
pay people $1 a day and wreck the environment more than he can here.

The young folks coming out of college these days? Good luck!

If a US soldier were to execute such a cowardly act as to feign death
or injury in an attempt to gain the upper hand in a battlefield
situation or avoid capture, I would expect the enemy to put a shell
into his head upon discovery of that.

Sure.
