Hi Paul,

Try Everquip in Hull, tel no 01482 226699.

I am planning on building a garage pit. A friend installs plastic oil
tanks for a living and he has to dispose of the old steel ones. I will
offer to take a steel tank off his hands, cut the top off, and use it as
the liner. Dig the hole a bit wider & fill the gap with concrete. Yes,
there are saftey issues with pits so it needs to be vented, lit with low
voltage lighting, and have steps...etc (I was also going to install a
door-bell button in it & put a bell in the house incase I need to get
someones attention). I agree with the safety arguments for putting a lift
in (but not the bit about storing a car on it when raised!), but a pit is
a lot lot cheaper, and besides, I like digging holes!!
