This is not a fault - It's meant to work like that!
Just dab the brake pedal and the warning clears.
As an aside, some E30 owners like to see how far they can drive before they
have to touch the brakes and clear the warning. I cannot condone such
behaviour, but I've done 30 miles without braking before ;-)
