79 to 82 7 series dash changeover help! |
|
|
Long shot... but..
Im having problems with getting heat from my 733i.
namely, there isnt any coming out the dash.
and the vaccum flaps in the dash seem to be not working very well, (air
coming from 2 or more vent locations regardless of what button is pressed).
Ive been offered a 1979 E23 console with rotating knobs for HVAC control,
looks alot less complicated and expensive compared to my electronically
controlled board behind my cuurent set of switches.
hard? easy? practical? check my other post if you have a shop manual for
this car --- HELP!!!
thanks again,
Erik

You're not supposed to get heat from the dash.
Up to and including E28, BMW did not allow heat through the dash vents,
because of the risk of putting the driver to sleep.
E30 was the first BMW that I know of to allow heat in the dash vents.
