'96 Blazer noise problem |
|
|
When the weather gets REALLY cold, my dad's '96 blazer he bought around a
month ago makes a real loud noise. He says that it's a grindy noise and
it's loud enough to hurt his ears. He doesn't think it's the altenator and
he just replaced the idler. 117k. Typical Blazer - he's already put $1500
into it.

Oh, and once it warms up, it's fine.

Maybe it's the fan clutch. They often make noise when worn.
