I may have screwed up, and need some help. The sliding doors on my Nissan
Quest were rattling and I tightened up some of the mounting bolts. I
replaced one of them with one containing a lock washer because it was loose,
then my wife told me this would void the warranty. Now I can't find the
original bolt. Although it is the same size bolt, is my warranty voided?
Will the marks on the other bolts be enough evidence for them to void it?
If so, how the heck would I acquire original Nissan bolts??

===================

You are kidding...right?

If Nissan voided your warranty for replacing a bolt that was loose IN
A DOOR ,,,of all things...I and the entire world would be
flabbergasted...

IF you are really concerned then stop by the dealership walk into the
parts department and order a bolt...toss the receipt in the glove box
and keep it ..replace the bolt a second time and get on with life...

Depends on the start date of your warranty and the
mileage if you have coverage or not. 'Adjustments' are
only covered for the first 12/12
