Hi,
What is fit kit for brake pad? Is it a so-called pad support plate?
what does it do or is it needed for installing OEM brake pads?

I believe it includes the 2 flat plates that go on the outside of the pads |
and the spring/clips where the pads attach to the caliper. The parts are
needed to install either OEM or aftermarket pads but I have not bought the
kit because you can re-use the existing ones.
If those parts are in decent condition, you can use a toothbrush-style wire
brush or the wire brush in a Dremel tool to clean them up and re-use the old
ones without any problems.

I think that they are part of shims not a fit kit(flat plates). I don't
have original shims for some reason. I know that I need shims, but
don't know whether I need fit kit or not.

The pad shims ARE "flat plates".
Do you have a part number?
