It has 127,000. Just started a week ago. I get on the road and its just fine and once the temp hits about 130 it just takes off all the way until the check gages light comes on. All this time and the heater will not blow out even warm air. The temp will be way high for about 30 seconds and then will drop down and begin to blow out warm air. When it drops down I can smell coolant. Anybody have an idea what the problem could be? Thanks

Sounds to my you have a thermostate problem. Replace it and don't forget to add antifreeze again.
