Rolling Eyes I just purchased a used 1995 Ford Escort LX Wagon--(been wanting one for years) This morning while going to work--I turned defroster on because I had cleaned seats and carpet the night before and it was damp on the inside of the windshield (and seats). It hestitated a minute before changing over to heat and defrost. (I had to turn the controls twice) Now, I can't get the air back on. You can move the choice from defrost to the appropriate vent. You can push the air conditioner button. You cannot put the control all the way back to blue--cold. It just seeems to spring back halfway. I know for sure the air works--really well, I was frozen driving home from the purchase. Now, I don't know what to do to get this problem fixed. I'm sure it is something my husband could do if he knew WHAT to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I live in GA and it has been close to 100 every day and with the humidity--I don't look forward to my 1 hour commute home today without air. Thanks for reading and any information you may have. Very Happy

Most of the a/c vents work from vaccumn. Tell Hubby to check for vaccumn leaks or broken or cracked vaccumn hoses. It also coud be a stuck vaccumn door, mstuck in the defrost position. This is one of those deals where you have to do some checking to find the problem.
