This is my son's car. Ex-husband put a new fuel pump, new coil & new distributor on it. Still having same problem.

can not diagnostic trouble codes. When jumping A & B at the DLC, engine light does not blink.

ECM? Anysuggestions?

Help? Anyone? I'm tired of spending money on this car!!! Thanks!

You can't check for codes the way your trying to do it. You need a scan tool to do it. Most auto part stores have them, some even load them out, might have to leave a deposit for a loaner. Ask your friends if they have one you can use. I have a program on my laptop for my scan tool. Find out the code or codes and go from there..You can throw a bunch of parts at it and waste a bunch of money and not fix a thing. I'm not sure what year the automaker went to OBD 1 which is the system you have on your car. Good luck

Check to make sure that you have electrical power at the distributor with the key in the run position.

The start circuit goes through a different electrical relay, so if the engine runs with the key in the start position, I would suspect a problem in the electrical in the run circuit.
