so we bought a 2003 program taurus from a dealer here in missouri, car fax says it came from cali, we ran a tank of e85 through and after all the hard starts, barely running and almost leaving my wife stranded at work, the engine light came on and it is a 0172 system too rich bank 2, i have done nothing to it, for i am only a parts replacer not a mechanic
anyone else heard of any problems with the flex fuel? other than it being corrosive, ive searched for the code online and some people say any number of things "but you have to see if you have california emissions" why? whats the difference? MAF dirty or fuel or delivery problem? thanks to all for any help. i like to know what im getting into before i take it to a "mechanic".
