I was poking along at .05 mph for the five miles only to find an accident at the right lane (blocking 2 right lanes) with some guy poking out of his window and EMT personnel trying to get him out. Also, there was another banged up car next to it. Apparently some kind of multi-car accident involving the embankment as well.
WHEN WILL PEOPLE REALIZE THAT SPEED KILLS AND FOLLOW THE SPEED LIMIT?
Is it not better to go at speed limit than blitz at 10 or 15 mph above, get into some (maybe minor) accident which slows down traffic so you are affected and the others behind you go at 10 mph? The average traffic speed comes WAY down.

I know what you mean. My wife and i were just sitting at a stop light and were rear-ended by a dude that claimed his brakes were faulty, but really it was that he wasn't doing the speed limit, and not paying attention. 6 months and tons of physical therapy later, we recovered. I'm pretty sure he didn't have insurance, if i remember correctly.
Get some insurance and use your brains, people! |
