I have a 94 Jimmy, and it was starting and running fine yesterday. This morning I went to start it & all it did was crank. It has a new fuel filter also. It is acting like it's not getting the fuel. We took it off & turned it around to see if it was on backwards, but it wasn't because it was running fine. Any idea on what could have caused this over night? Sad

I have a question...

Has your Jimmy had been starting "rough"? Kind of like not getting gas and then, it starts up?

I had a 92 FS Blazer, and that was happening to me too. My problem was the sending unit/fuel pump. This is al one part and it is located in the gas tank. If you have a little bit of gas in the tank, it will be easier to do.

I had to relieve the fuel pressure from the lines, then remove the fuel filter and catch any remaining gas. Then I removed the gas tank using jack stands and a jack. The hardest parts for me was reattaching the tank to the filling neck and reinstalling the tank.

When I took out the tank I was able to drop it down using the straps to the jack. But when I had to put it back in, the jack would not go up high enough.

Good luck.

Mike
