Help. I tryed installing a CD player in a 99 Buick Park Ave |
|
|
I have a 99 Buick Park Avenue. I installed the pioneer CD player,
and it worked fine all night, But i got in my car this morning and
it would not work, so i messed around with it and if you pull out the
head light's knob it works. I went back over the wiring and cant find
nothing wrong. There are some yellow and orange wires for the
Dimmer lights Iam not sure about.
If the red ignition wire is wired to the red CD player wire and the key is on,
it should come on regardless of whether the lights knob is pulled out.
I don't know they run to many wires through the radio now-days..

How is it wired?? |

What's up? Well, I just wanted to go over your preliminary wiring. How do you have the following wires hooked up??
Red (12V Switched) - ?
Yellow (Constant 12V) - ?
Black (Ground - Chasis) - ?
Are you running subwoofers and amps? Let me know, and I will try to help you out. _________________ Erick

I fixed it!!! |
|

The dimmer wire was wired in with the red+ ignition wire so ...any way
there is a fuse block under the back seat and one of the 5amp relay fuses was blown it happens to power the seat heaters and radio so i replaced
the fuse and took the dimmer wire off.
So the radio was getting the power off the head light knob and it worked
at night because of the automatic light sensor "that's just weird".
But it works now! Thanks for the help!!!
