Hi,
In the near future I’m going to replace the CV joint/axle shaft on my wife’s 1993 Corsica (V6, automatic model).
I believe the CV joint to be bad as it will clunk during acceleration out of a turn. Also, I inspected the boot and noticed that the clamp holding the boot on had broken off.
I have the factory service manual for her car. The manual states that I will need three special tools. These tools include: a ball joint remover, hub puller, and a slide hammer to remove the axle.
My question is do I really need all these tools in order to do the job?
Thanks for the advice,
Chris.
