Call or visit your local car audio store and tell them you would like to
purchase a VATS bypass module for you vehicle that does not use a customer
key.

I have a 94 Regal that won't crank. I think it is in the anti-theft system and was wondering if this is a way to bypass the system. I am not getting a signal at the starter solenoid but am getting voltage through the theft deterrent relay. I am losing the voltage somewhere before it gets to the transmission safety switch. I was told it was probably the key tumbler but hate to buy parts without knowing for sure it will fix it.

I unplugged the wires going to the ignition tumbler (2 wires in orange cover) under the steering column and put a resistor in the circuit with the same resistance as the key chip and fixed the problem with the Regal.
