Well hell, it's likely easier to change 'the oil filter' than to
clean it also but you seldom see the company change it with no
charge do you now?...

A highly faulty analogy.
It is indeed not...Christ, where's your reading comprehension?
Who do you suppose paid/subsidized the cost of
repairing those few "gelled" engines? There is no such thing as "free"
except in the mind of a socialist. There is only cost shifting.
Obfuscation, pure and simple...this has nothing to do with the

Don't go trying to change the subject here...you stated that
there was 'nothing faulty about the separator' and I maintain
that there is...simple, deal with it...

You have your opinion rooted in ignorance. I have a couple of Toyota TSBs
on the subject and practical experience which you lack. Deal with it.
You're making a horse's arse of yourself by refusing to admit a
simple error...smarten up for chrissake...pretty bad character
flaw you have there mister...does not look good on you at all.

Their cars are less likely to break down, and it seems that the company
isn't as stingy about reimbursing its dealers for warranty work, at
least compared to Ford.

Toyota dealerships wouldn't agree. |

I'm sure there are some people whose Yugos have been perfect and their
Hondas have been lemons, but the odds favor the Honda owners.
According to the Yugo dealers I visited, there was no such thing as a
perfect Yugo - 100% came back for warranty repairs. Anyone out there have a
perfect Yugo?

NPR's Car Guys (Click & Clack, the Tappet Brothers, a.k.a. Tom & Ray
Magliozzi) were asked, "What is the most reliable automobile
transportation I can get for $30,000?" Their answer: "A sixpack of
Yugos"
I doubt this advances the discussion of sludge in an Avalon, but it was
a great moment in radio. :-)

What made you think that your response was worth posting? Was it the
same thought process that makes you post all those off-topic messages?
;)
It's the 'RUSH' way of doing things and is slowly and naturally being taken
care of by natural selection.

Click & Clack, they are the automotive experts that wrote a whole article
advising some lady that the front end noise on her two wheel drive Ford
Aerostar was most assuredly was caused by a failing CV joint. Click said it
might be a strut, but upon reflection with brother Clack, he agreed that
with 159K on the clock it was more likely the CV joint. They advised her to
stop driving the vehicle until she had it repaired, lest she kill her
family. They never did print a retraction. LOL

I would venture that there are a hell of a lot more people that have
had crappy experiences with Ford than Toyota....
