I have bought a Volvo S80 T6 from 1999, and it has a Volvo parking heater.



The heater is controlled via a timer function, where you specify when the
heating process should be over. If, for example, you set a time of "8.00",
the car is supposed to be warm and nice at 8.00.



I have noticed that the parking heater in my Volvo generally turns off about
20 minutes before the time specified in the timer. For example, if I tell
the timer that the car should be warm at "8.00", the heater will start
heating at 7.30 and stop heating at 7.40. When I get into the car at 8.00,
the heater has been off for 20 minutes, which means that the car is not as
warm as I would expect it to be.



Do you think there could be something wrong with the timer or something?

Nah, I don't think there is anything wrong with it - but I'm not 100% sure.

I usually turn on the heater again with the remote control if I get delayed a little bit because the car cools down pretty quickly.
