Long story short...2001 Nissan Frontier crew cab. Had all of the
recalls done for our area, and then one day had the service engince
soon light come on. Took it in and they said that there was a small
leak in teh evac system...paid to have fixed, light came on as i pull
in the drive way....back to Nissan, and they say a different small leak
and a knock sensor....irrate and ready to unload my off-duty
weapon....get the knock sensor fixed(600 $$) and they fix the evac
system valves.....well guess what again a sensor goes off...they smoke
the tank and find that there is still a leak....top of the gas tank is
rusted...don't charge me but make it sound like they are doing me a
great service. Understandibly the gas mileage was terrible but I am
still getting between 13-15 mpg highway!!!!!!! I might as well drive a
freak'in Ford 350 with dual everything...atleast i would have more
room!!!

Anyone else battling the poor fuel mileage that seems to be getting
worse??

Any advice would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have the identical vehicle .
i'm lucky to get 10 mpg. in town
and maybe 15 hwy.
what mileage do they claim we
should get ?

Thanks for the info Bill.

Just don't know why after a continuos problem with the fuel system...my
local dealership will not accept that there is a problem with the fuel
usage also. Hell I could smell gasolin before then put the new
tank...and now I am using or losing it some other way.


I will not ever...and quote me here.....EVER buy another Nissan again!!
