I just changed the filter on a GM Hydra Matic automatic transmisssion.
The fliud level is supposed to be measured when HOT. I dont want to
run the engine with too little trans fluid because it may damage the
trans.but I dont want to overfill either. How much transmission fluid
so I put in when COLD? I assume its close to the same level, but does
it fo up or go down when ut gets hot? About how much? I poured in a
gallon so far and it's about 3/4" below the HOT mark.
