Removing Control arm from 97 tercel |
|
|
I need to replace bent lower control arm from my daughters Tercel. I
found a nice one at junkyard. Also found that the main pivot bolt the
connects the arm to the frame is a hard one to handle by hand. I was
able to loosen the bolt by hand, turning it about 4 time. After that,
it became stuck. Plan on putting impact wrench on it tonight, but am
concered I will snap the bolt. I guess I would like to know if this
bolt is suppose to be this stubborn, and if this is normal.

It is common for suspension bolts to corrode over time and become difficult |
to turn. Before you put the impact wrench to it, try giving it a shot of
penetrating fluid.
