Tracker door look sticking |
|
|
It's cold here on the prairies and my two door Tracker's locks consistently
freezes up really easily. It takes quite a while using a hair dryer to
loosen them up. So now I leave the doors unlocked and the club locked onto
the steering wheel. Do you have any suggestions on how I can prevent the
door lock from sticking?
Thanks, Frozen Fingers

Do Not use Lithium grease in cold climates ! Lithium grease
attracts moisture, which will freeze ! Motorcycle Chain and Cable
Lubricant is a better choice. You might have to clean the old grease
off, when dry lube with regular chassis grease, which repels water.

Lithium attracts moisture, which freezes in cold weather. Use chassis
grease, or a spray oil product. Motorcycle chain + cable lube is good. |

Lithium Grease holds water, which freezes in cold weather. Use some
spray lube, such as WD 40 |
