I notice a little of a drag on the front right brake while driving, and
when in a hard braking situation a hard pull to the right. How do you
loosen up the right front? Driving me crazy, and I think it is hurting
my gas milage. Thanks in advance, DON

Most likely a sticking caliper. Needs to be rebuilt or replaced.

I had a similar situation with my 97 PU. What happened is that the RF

caliper pins were dry and rusted. After applying the brakes, they did
not release. It will only get worse because the heat that the brakes are
generating is expanding the metal pins so that they release even less.
Mine was so bad that the rotor got red hot after a short trip. You might
take the caliper apart and lube the pins with a lubricant made for disk
brakes, like Permatex Caliper Lube. You may also have to have the rotors
turned if they got warped from the heat, and most likely they did if you
drove the vehicle for a while under this condition.
In my case I had the 2 calipers replaced, and the rotors turned, even
though the other caliper was not dragging.

I thought that might be what it is was. Is a caliper change a hard
thing to do? I have changed the brake pads already, but while I am
changing the caliper, I might as well just buy new rotors and pads.
Thanks for all the help everyone. I have learned a lot from this
newsgroup, and also saved a lot of money. DON

I didn't do any of the work myself. I had brought it to a garage to have
them check it out and then had them repair it.
From my past experiences, working on disk brakes is a lot easier than
working on drum brakes.
