Just replaced the alternator in my 1985 Nissan Pulsar NX. Now the
emergency brake light is back on and staying on. Been checked and is not
the alternator. Battery is fine. Any suggestions?

Ok, I'll bite. What do you mean by "the emergency brake light is back

on" and what made you think it was the alternator or the battery? Just a
wild guess but I'd check the emergency brake electrical switch.

The alt won't turn on the brake light in an '85. Only on ABS cars. It's
either the ebrake switch, low brake fluid (or the switch), or it's
telling you something is wrong with the brake system (uneven front/rear
pressure). If the fluid is full, try unplugging the connector on the
brake fluid resevoir.
