Hello all, I have a few questions hopefully someone might have the
answers to. Here it goes. I have a 1990 Pathfinder 4x4, 3.0
w/Automatic transmission. The transmission is a RE4R01A. I have
noticed that there are several years and modle cars and trucks that
this tranny has been in. Is it possible to gut one of these other
years tranny and stick it into my trans case? Or is it possible to
just knock off the tail shaft of one of these other transmissions and
just bolt my transfer case to it?

He lists several with the same modle number. I.E. a 89-97 300zx. I
have also seen that Mazada, and a few other companies use this same
transmission.

Would be nice because I am looking at a $1500-$3000 rebuild that I
don't really want to deal with right now and was hoping for something
a bit cheaper. Any input is welcomed!

Thanks
