Using regular gas in a car designed for super |
|
|
I was wodnering why this thread always comes back to newsgroups and I
think I see it:
Using reagular gas in your car designed for premium is like smoking
cigarettes. Why? becuase both will do damage but the effects won't show
up until a considerable amount of time has passed. With smoking
cigarettes, it may take a decade or so for the lungs to really start to
suffere, and by using regular gas, your car will suffere the ill effects
some time down the road, never immediately.
Just my 2 cents

Exactly, people claim they have "no problems" yet have only been doing this
to their cars for a couple of years. These same people will be the "This
car is a POS" when the engine is burning oil at 120K and of course it can't
be because they used cheap gas in it.

I drive a 97 Max SE with just over 120K miles.
With oil changes every 4000 miles and tuneups every 65K
New battery every 5-6 years.
And 98.9% of the time I used 92-93 octane.
I believe can do another 120K on her.
